Centerpiece

For your farewell summer soirée, dress your tables with easy and festive centerpieces. Fill a vase with red, white and blue flowers to add brightness and greenery to your table. Add an American flag to the arrangement to make it even more patriotic! Or fill a metal planter with ice and flowers to turn it into a beverage cooler. Place fresh-picked wildflowers into empty bottles among the cold drinks for a simple, yet functional centerpiece. At the kids table, grab a bucket and make a red and blue lollipop bouquet. The best part of this festive bouquet will be eating it after the party's over!

Sit back, relax, and enjoy these last few days of summer with stylish throw pillows and area rugs that will have your house guests singing red, white and blue. Decorative pillows add instant Americana to a living room, front porch or backyard patio. Mix and match colors and stripes to create a pairing that will make the ultimate patriotic statement. Grill Master

Start your Labor Day menu planning. Nothing says Labor Day party quite like a delicious burger! Enjoy the day off with this deluxe cheese-stuffed burger topped with crispy bacon, avocado and perfectly ripe tomatoes. Our mouths are watering just thinking about it. You may also want to try turning summer desserts into something a touch more special with the help of your fiery grill. This easy recipe for Grilled Pineapple is a great example of how you can elevate the taste of simple grilled fruit by adding a little of this and a dash of that. Rings of fresh pineapple are soaked in a sweet, buttery marinade with a dash of hot pepper sauce for eye-opening flavor, and quickly grilled to get those gorgeous char marks. Serve as is or with ice cream and chocolate or caramel sauce.

American Flag Backdrop

Who doesn’t love a good photo backdrop? This adorable American flag backdrop will make the perfect addition to your Labor Day party to document all the fun you are having. The good news, you don’t even need to know how to sew to make it— our kind of craft! Simply cut red and white fabric into long skinny strips (7 red stripes and 6 white stripes). Tie the strips to a large stick or pole and let them hang free. Cut out a blue square and for the stars, use a potato stamp! Cut the potato in half and with a knife cut out the shape of a star. Dip the stamp in white paint and stamp the star onto the blue fabric. Tie two corners of the blue fabric onto the stick to resemble a flag. Now tie string on either side of the stick for it to hang as your photo backdrop. Ready, say cheese!
