At Budget Blinds of Harrisburg, Hershey & Carlisle we take the health and safety of our associates and customers very seriously. As owners; my wife Beth and I take pride in our community and continue to take steps necessary to reasonably ensure we are reducing actions that could impact our home and neighboring communities.
In light of the COVID19 concerns we wanted to communicate with you the precautions we have implemented in advance of your consultation and/or installation appointment. We are proactively monitoring the situation by supporting our Public Health Authorities, as well as specific actions to prevent the spread of COVID19 and minimize risk internally as well as in your home.
Proper Hygiene: Our entire staff (office, sales, & installation) have been thoroughly briefed and recognize the importance of proper hygiene. Hands are thoroughly washed and sanitized before and after every appointment. If an associate feels ill, they are encouraged to stay home until they or their Doctor feels they can return without any risk.
With Four Major areas of concern, we would like to share our protocols with you.
Incoming Freight and Warehouse: For the past 12 years all cardboard packaging has been opened and disposed of prior to loading any window treatment into our Installation vehicles. This will continue but we have added a Hydrogen Peroxide wiping of the exterior of the box and warehouse fixtures after each order has been received. All Hydrogen Peroxide wipes are disposed of daily. Additionally, the sealed plastic packages inside the cardboard shipping containers are now also wiped down prior to loading into our vehicles. Finally, Germicidal & Bacterial Lamp fixtures are being added to key areas of the warehouse as added protection.
In-Home Installation: Every installation is treated separately and dealt with in the same way as detailed here; All installation equipment brought into your home is wiped off with hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol wipes. Your Installation technician will use a clean pair of Latex gloves, shoe covers and drop cloths while in your home. The drop cloths used in your home are only used once and then placed into a containment bag and professionally cleaned. Gloves and shoe covers are disposed of properly. Your Installation Technician has a procedure for wiping all tools and vehicle parts prior to his or her next Installation.
In-Home Design Consultation; Every Consultation is treated separately and dealt with in the same way as detailed here; All samples brought into your home is wiped off with hydrogen peroxide, isopropyl alcohol wipes. Your design consultant will use a clean pair of Latex gloves, shoe covers and cover our working area with a clean drop cloth. The drop cloths used in your home are only used once and then placed into a containment bag and professionally cleaned. Gloves and shoe covers are disposed of properly after every consultation. Your design consultant has a procedure for wiping off all display samples and vehicle parts prior to his or her next Consultation.
Showroom; Every flat surface, and all common areas, light switches, door handles, sample remotes, literature, sample boxes, swatch racks are all wiped down daily with hydrogen peroxide disinfectant wipes.
We have an ample supply of sanitizers and all surfaces are disinfected regularly. If an employee feels ill, every precaution will be taken and they will not be sent to fulfill the consultation and/or installation appointment. We will contact you immediately and reschedule. If you (the client) feel ill, please do not hesitate to re-schedule your appointment. We completely understand and respect your decision. These protective measures are in everyone's long term interest.
