Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton

For our 2022 Give Back Campaign our small business set a big goal to donate $3,000 to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Branch. With the support from our amazing team and clients we were able to successfully reach that goal!

The Canadian Mental Health Association is the leading community mental health organization in the region, delivering key services in the areas of mental health support, education and training, wayfinding, and collective action. This supports individuals, families, communities, and the social sector.

Little Warriors

In October 2021 Budget Blinds Edmonton & St. Albert participated in a fundraiser for Little Warriors - a national, charitable organization focused on the awareness and prevention and treatment of traumatized children. The Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family is located on 120 acres outside of Edmonton, Alberta. It is a specialized, intensive, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment centre focused on helping children who have been abused, as well as their families.

The Tiny House Master Plan (THMP)

In February of this 2021 our company, Budget Blinds Edmonton & St. Albert, was asked to participate in the Tiny House Master Plan project (THMP), and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Our company is a leader in bringing environmentally-friendly ‘green’ window coverings and smart home technology products to the market. And that’s what we’ll do for the THMP project with smart home lighting, sound and window covering products designed specifically for this powerful tiny house.

Read our blog to learn all the fun details of the THMP:

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton

Sadly, there are many people in our towns and cities without the luxury of a home to call their own. Organizations like Habitat for Humanity exist to give back to the people in our community most in need. Habitat for Humanity's mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting home-ownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. They believe everyone should have a safe and decent place to live. We, at Budget Blinds, strongly support this cause and we were inspired to lend a hand. Heat Up Alberta

The Heat Up Alberta campaign donates a furnace every year to a deserving family in need.  We were happy to be asked by our friends at True North Heating and Cooling to help give the gift of warmth and clean air to the Samchuk family in St. Albert. Budget Blinds Edmonton & St. Albert also provided new insulating window coverings for the Samchuk’s home.

Spirit of Christmas - Shoe Box for kids Campaign

Our Budget Blinds Team takes some time to make and wrap gift boxes for some of Edmonton's less fortunate. Debra Kasowski of Debra Kasowski International founded the Shoe Box campaign to help struggling local children at Christmas time. Each year the campaign supports school children with low-income families in the Edmonton School District with donations of Christmas cheer, toys and essential items.

Home for Our Troops

Budget Blinds locations around Edmonton join together to fundraise $15,000 for the Wounded Warriors Canada therapy dog program.

Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.

St. Albert Snowflake Festival

We had fun being a Sponsor of the St. Albert Snowflake Festival and hosting the cookie-making station.

This amazing event is hosted every year by the St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce in the heart of downtown St. Albert.
