Why Budget Blinds of Rockledge

Mark and Kim are proud to be our Budget Blinds of Rockledge owners! The duo moved to Florida's Treasure Coast in late 2008. While Mark continued his career in corporate America, Kim re-established her practice as a mental health therapist in Vero Beach. But, they were excited to make a shift! After his early retirement from IBM, Mark wanted to find a way to serve our little coastal communities of Florida by starting his own company. After renovating multiple homes, Kim and Mark have always had an interest in real estate, home remodeling, and interior design. When the opportunity to join the Budget Blinds team arose, Mark knew it was the perfect fit. It's been a pleasure for Mark to grow with our wonderful local team, and expand to serve not only Indian River County, but the Melbourne, Rockledge, Viera, and Cocoa areas as well. They are both excited to now have a showroom location in Melbourne as of 2022, which is shared with our sister company, Inspired Closets Melbourne! 

Derek Harkins is a New England native who we have the pleasure of calling our Design Consultant! Though he may have spent his childhood in New Hampshire and attended college in Rhode Island, Derek headed south 15 years ago and has made Sebastian his home. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Divinity, he is also an ordained pastor and keeps his faith close to his heart. Derek designs custom window treatments for our clients in the Rockledge, Melbourne, Viera, and Cocoa communities, and he has found the interpersonal skills he developed as a pastor to have bettered his work at Budget Blinds. He knows that understanding and addressing all problems while building a connection with his clients is vital to our customer's happiness. You might purchase window treatments only a handful of times, so Derek is always careful to approach his designs with a sense of timelessness that will look spectacular in the long haul. When away from the office, you can find Derek playing music, attending his local church, and spending time with his family.

Cassie is proud to be a part of our Budget Blinds of Rockledge team as our Digital Marketing Manager! After joining our team in 2016, she has supported our communications and presence online ever since. As a Florida native who grew up in Vero Beach, she enjoys seeing homes in our community transformed with beautiful new window treatments. The "after" photos of our customers new shades, shutters, or drapery installations are her favorite! Cassie loves being a part of our awesome local team... and you might catch her snapping photos at our showroom in Melbourne!
