Budget Blinds of the Mid-Willamette Valley recognized for their work in the community. Budget Blinds received the Heart and Home Give Back Award on January 11, 2018 at the Budget Blinds International Convention.

From a pool of over 1500 businesses throughout North America, Budget Blinds of the Mid-Willamette Valley received the Heart and Home Give Back Award on January 11th for working with those in need in their community. Priscilla Glidewell was flown to Dallas, Texas for the international convention and received this award along with a standing ovation from over 1000 of her peers. While this award was based on events in the last ten years, Priscilla has long been a social advocate and agent for change. She started her Budget Blinds business with the vision of giving back, through it, to the community.

Budget Blinds of the Mid-Williamette Valley Gives Back

Priscilla Glidewell purchased her first Budget Blinds Franchise in 2006. After a few years of hard work and establishing her business, she was able to move into a large home that served as her residence, the Budget Blinds office as well as Noah’s Ark Foster Home. From 2009 to 2015, Noah’s Ark served over 27 children. Each staff person took the time to play with, mentor and guide these children. Priscilla and her team at Budget Blinds have done even more for the community beyond Noah’s Ark Foster Home. She has volunteered as Coordinator for Oregon’s “Safe Families for Children” program and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children. She is a Rotarian, Leadership Trainer for the Ford Family Foundation and an elected City Councilwoman. Her and her staff at Budget Blinds have been involved in donating time and resources to 13 Habitat for Humanity builds, the Friends of the Old Town, training disabled workers to help them transition into skilled jobs, and much more.

Homes for Our Troops

Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.
