We had a large, cordless, energy efficient honeycomb shade installed over our sliding glass door. In our family room, We have a large Pella sliding glass door (installed by Pella) with blinds between the glass, that was supposed to be energy efficient...however it is not...it is very cold in the winter months. So I called Budget Blinds of Grayslake over for a solution and estimate. There is a huge custom valance over the door, so I wanted something unobtrusive to work with the existing valance. Patrick, the owner came over within a couple of days to assess the situation. I already had an idea and price in my mind after doing my own research. Patrick had the perfect solution, and I was even impressed with his sense of style. Additionally, his price was better than I expected, We ordered this energy efficient, yet attractive honeycomb shade, so I could pull it down only during the cold months as needed. When not in use, it is completely out of sight, tucked under the valance, so as not to obstruct my views. The custom shade came right within the timeline promised., which was only about 2 weeks. I thought the installation would be a bit tricky, but not for this installer. He was a perfectionist and did a beautiful job. From the word "Budget" in their name, I had a slight concern about the quality. So I was extremely pleased to see that the quality is right up there with some of the high end custom shades I had in other rooms. I couldn't be happier. The shade is hidden when not needed, and it is beautiful when in use. And most important: the problem is solved. The room is much warmer now! It was a pleasure working with Patrick and I would definitely use him again. He is an accessible owner and eager to please.
