Budget Blinds is hiring an exceptional salesperson. 

Do you love what you do? If you have a passion for interior decorating and love working with people to bring them from concept to completion. Then this is the perfect position for you!

This is not an 8:00 am to 5:00 pm kind of career. This is a fast-paced, do whatever it takes full-time outside sales position that will allow you to use your confidence, assertiveness and persuasive nature to drive sales results while finding solutions for our Customers that may elude others.

You will have access to a huge selection of manufacturers specializing in all types of window coverings and accessories including blinds, shutters, draperies, wall coverings, pillows and more. The work is varied and rewarding from personal in-home consultations, attending networking and social functions to annual Budget Blinds' conferences in Canada and the US. Complete product training will be provided however, we will give preference to those with some experience in interior design.

We're looking for someone with...

* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Consultants are self-motivated and able to work independently.

* Effective time management and organization will help you succeed.

* Design consultants must have a detail-oriented mind and a sense of style.

* We operate as part of a team and as such, we all must be open to coaching and constructive feedback. We all help each other!

* Have a passion for colour and decorating trends, as well as interior design.

* Design consultants must love helping others and be comfortable entering people’s homes or businesses.

* You have sales experience or education.

* Knowledge of custom window coverings would be an asset, but we can teach you what you need to know. You must be teachable.

* Sales and Design Consultants must have a good understanding of technology. We use a variety of programs and technology to assist us in our success.

* Home automation is the next big thing: you are able and willing to learn all about automation as it pertains to window coverings.

* Drapes are back in a big way: you are able and willing to learn about when and how to sell soft fashions.

* You recognize the value of networking and social media to promote yourself and our brand. Self-marketing will set you apart from others.

* You have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.

* Hours are flexible, with at least one evening and weekend day of availability.

* This is a full-time commissioned sales position.

We are looking for someone who can start in May 2021. The first three months while in training, the new hire will receive salary and then be strictly commission-based thereafter. Please forward your resume and a brief summary of yourself and your desire to work for Budget Blinds.
