Welcome back to the Budget Blinds of Tempe & Central Phoenix blog! Earlier this month we talked about one of our favorite brands to work with, Levolor. The Definition
Smart home technology refers to any device or setup that allows for remote control access from a smart device (like a phone or table) over a network. Got all that? Basically, if you are able to control some feature from your phone, or other device you have smart home tech at work.
There’s more to it than that, but for our purposes that’s a good enough starting point.

In place of a TV Guide button, there’s now the ‘Home’ or ‘Hub’ button that will take viewers to their TV’s menu of streaming apps. Watch Netlfix or Amazon Prime without needing any other device connected!
Smart Thermostats
How often have you gotten home only to find your house as warm as an oven? In the Valley, probably more often than you’d like! Smart thermostats like the ones offered by Nest or Ecobee take care of all that! Allowing you to change your thermometer on the fly and giving you total control at the tap of a finger these smart thermostats connect with an app on your smart device over the internet. Many can connect to other smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant giving you voice control!
Wireless Speaker Systems
Wireless speaker systems are one of the most common smart devices in any home. As of a 2015 report, 17% of people owned at least one. Wireless speaker systems are a great addition to the home of any audiophile, allowing you to play music from your phone or a media server anywhere in your home. We have see a lot of folks put speakers outside on their patios or near the pool so they can enjoy their tunes without having the hassle of wires or leaving the sliding glass door open!
Smart Lighting and Blinds
