Remembrance Day

November 11th is soon approaching. What will you be doing to honour our Veterans and Armed Forces this year? In our community there are many available options to commemorate the sacrifice so many have made on behalf of our beautiful country.

Official Ceremony: At 1700 Elphinstone Street, The Brandt Centre, Regina, Saskatchewan.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. for the indoor Remembrance Day service that includes a Veterans Company parade. Members of the public are asked to be seated by 10:15 a.m. Veterans seating is reserved. Seating is available for individuals with special needs. Call in advance, 306-522-2676, if you require assistance.

Another way we can support our veterans is by wearing a poppy! Many individuals can be found at malls, grocery stores and schools offering the pin-on poppies and accept cash donations that benefit our veterans. For more information about this please visit http://www.legion.ca/remembrance/the-poppy

Get the kids involved! A letter or postcard with a few kind words and thanks from our young canadians would mean so much to our Armed Forces. Visit the Postcards for Peace with the Government of Canada at: http://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/remembrance/get-involved/postcard-for-peace

From our team at Budget Blinds Serving South East Saskatchewan we hope you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your Remembrance Day activities. Thank you to our Armed Forces for their service.
