Durham Cares

Durham Cares works toward a more caring, connected, and just Durham. Inspired by Jesus' story of the Samaritan on the Jericho Road, Durham Cares provides opportunities for people to learn Durham's story, foster relationships across differences, and collaborate to holistically build a Durham where everyone flourishes.

Vets to Vets United

Vets to Vets United unites veterans and dogs to improve and save two lives. Each dog is rescued from being euthanized at local animal shelters and is matched with a veteran suffering from depression, PTSD, and other conditions. This organization creates life-long, loving relationships and promotes a healthier community for servicemen and women across the Triangle area.

Raleigh Dream Center

This volunteer-driven, faith-based organization finds and fills the needs of thousands of homeless, abused, and impoverished youth, individuals, and families across the Triangle area. Raleigh Dream Center partners with local churches to provide resources to underprivileged communities, with a mission to restore hope, rebuild lives, and realize dreams.

Hope Reins

Since 2010, Hope Reins has helped over 2,800 kids in life crises from 16 eastern North Carolina counties through its faith-based equine mentorship program. The ranch boasts 38 acres of rolling hills, a herd of 17 rescued horses, and a 4,000-square-foot log cabin. All services are offered at no charge to kids and their families.
