Meet Josh, Partner at Budget Blinds of Douglasville and Villa Rica! Born in South Africa, Josh is now a Georgia local and is proud to be serving his local community. Between Josh’s desire for operating a small business and his wife’s expertise in the interior design field, the two found the perfect fit in franchising with Budget Blinds. Josh’s everyday role includes overseeing operations, company visibility, and care for client and team experience. While his position brings him many experiences and benefits, Josh’s favorite part about his role is seeing his team members flourish and prosper! If you ask Josh about his favorite window treatment, he will certainly tell you about automated shades, as they are extremely convenient and easy to use. 

Outside of helping his team members succeed, Josh loves to spend time with family, travel, enjoy live music and shows, and spend time in the great outdoors. Josh is proud to be part of Budget Blinds and to bring his clients the service of a local, family-owned business, along with the confidence and support of the largest in-home window covering company in North America! 

We don’t know what we would do without Avary, Owner and Senior Designer at Budget Blinds! Born right here in Georgia, Avary has always had a passion for interior design. Avary and her husband, Josh, founded Budget Blinds of Douglasville and Villa Rica and have been working with clients to find their perfect window treatments ever since. Using her extensive expertise, Avary focuses on drapery and high-end design work for her clients, while working on operational organization and networking. Avary will tell you that her design eye allows her to excel in her position- she loves pushing her clients to try something out of their comfort zone! Avary has always loved layered window treatments, especially when the combination includes woven wood and drapery panels. When she’s not at Budget Blinds, Avary loves cooking, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with her three cats!

There is nothing more Wilson loves than finding the perfect window treatment solution for his clients! Born in the sunshine state, Wilson moved to Georgia in 1986. As an experienced Design Consultant, Wilson works with customers to design the right shades, drapes, shutters, or other window covering for newly constructed homes, remodeling projects, or for people simply looking to refresh the look of their space. Before joining Budget Blinds, Wilson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Georgia (Go Bulldogs!) and was in the HR and technology industries for 15 years. Nowadays, Wilson values his ability to go into each consultation without a preconceived game plan so he can be creative and match each client with their perfect window covering. He also has previous experience on the installation side of things, so he offers valuable insight from the beginning of the process to the end. Home automation has recently sparked his interest, as it reflects the state of the world and the advances technology has made. He also loves how Budget Blinds has a superior selection and high-quality vendor partners compared to competitors! Outside of work, Wilson loves spending time with his two daughters, mountain biking, playing tennis, running, hiking, or making music. He loves working with our Budget Blinds team and looks forward to connecting with others in our community!

Suzanne brings her detail-orientation and top-notch organization skills to our team as our awesome Office Manager! Originally from California, Suzanne boasts 35 years of experience in customer service, accounting, and management before landing in her role at Budget Blinds. As our Office Manager, she manages our payroll, scheduling, collections, HR, and customer relations. While she loves many different aspects of her position, Suzanne’s favorite part of the job is working with our customers! During her time at Budget Blinds, she has developed a love for shutters, as they are classy, timeless, and go with any decor. When she’s not in the office, Suzanne loves spending time with her kids, traveling, and going horseback riding around beautiful North Georgia.

Born in South Africa, Michelle moved to England to pursue her counseling career and then later to be in the US closer to family. She now spends her time between Florida, Georgia, New York and even London, all the while managing our phones and ensuring our clients are in the know and cared for.

To the benefit of our clients, Michelle is generally their primary point of contact with Budget Blinds of Douglasville and Villa Rica! Between booking consultations for our Design Consultants and scheduling the dozens of weekly installations, seeing Michelle constantly operating the phones and navigating our various tracking systems is something to behold. Bringing many years of counseling experience to the team, her deep level of care and desire to be of service has earned her several individual mentions of appreciation!

Rick is one our specialist Installers and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from a lifetime of service. Prior to working with Budget Binds of Duluth Rick ran his own Budget Blinds franchise, was a Controls Engineer and proudly served in the United States Army. Drawing on his experience and native desire to be of service Rick prides himself on providing fantastic customer experience made up of a blend of technical expertise and caring customer service.

When not working, Rick enjoys exploring cultures through religion and food, practicing spiritual approaches to education and loves spending time with his wife and two sons.

Kathy is one of our talented Design Consultants, born and raised in the Sunshine State before moving to Georgia over 14 years ago! She has been working with Budget Blinds since March 2023, and we’re so grateful to have her with us. Before joining our team, Kathy enjoyed an additional 5+ years in the window treatment industry! Her expertise in window coverings and passion for her career make Kathy a stellar asset for clients who need help deciding which blinds, shades, shutters, or drapery options would benefit their home the most. Her eye for design, professional attitude, and willingness to meet new people have made her an awesome fit for our team. Visiting clients’ homes and working with them to design their ideal window treatment is her favorite part of being a Design Consultant. Her personal favorite is shutters, as they beautify the home, are easy to clean, and look gorgeous from the inside and outside. She carries her creative and positive energy outside of work, as she enjoys shooting pool, face painting, gardening, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

After starting as a Design Consultant in early 2022, Kelli Flaherty has already helped countless people fall in love with their homes with the power of custom window treatments. After calling West Georgia home for 8 years now, she believes it's a truly special place. Kelli serves the Douglasville, Villa Rica, and greater West Georgia community through her work and is grateful to be a part of the supportive, small-town atmosphere. Her leadership skills and years of experience in the industry make her a creative problem solver with intimate knowledge of each step in the process– and we are lucky to call her a member of our team. When asked about her favorite part of her job, Kelli responded that connecting with customers truly makes her day. Kelli will tell you that "having the opportunity to go into someone's home and connect with them, hearing them excitedly share their vision of what they want, and then actually making that vision come to life" has been such a rewarding part of her career. Outside of work, Kelli shared that reading and creating beautiful bows to make her gifts extra special during Christmas time were among her favorite things.

Ky is one of our expert Installers we’re blessed to have on our team! He started with Budget Blinds in March 2023 but has called the Atlanta area home all his life. Being a skilled handyman and problem solver, there’s no problem that Ky won’t approach eagerly. Seeing the excited faces of each client after installing their dream window treatment is Ky’s favorite part of his position. When asked about his favorite window covering, Ky replied that it had to be shutters. He admires their variety in appearance and says they’re simply beautiful in any space. Outside of his installations throughout Douglasville, Villa Rica, and surrounding areas, you can find Ky taking in the beauty of North Georgia outdoors. He loves hunting, fishing, and playing a variety of sports with his son.
