U.S. Navy Veteran Gives Thanks for the Opportunity to Start His Own Business
Larry Sportello is veteran of the United States military, having served 5 years in the Navy followed by 3 years in the Army. Like many other veterans, he was faced with the question of what to do with his life after active duty. The United States is a nation where its citizens are free to pursue the American Dream. Larry Sportello did just that and started his own Budget Blinds franchise business. Looking back, he is very thankful to have had the opportunity.
“I love this country because an individual is free and able to accomplish anything they put their mind to,” said Larry Sportello. “Because of this, I started my very own Budget Blinds business and grew it into what it is today. I’m truly thankful for the opportunity and am very happy being a business owner!”
Veterans often make ideal franchise business owners because the skills they obtain while in the military can be directly applied to the business environment. These skills include discipline, leadership, determination and teamwork. Plus, franchise businesses have set structures and support systems similar to those in place in the military.
“From the very beginning, the Budget Blinds corporate team has been there supporting me every step of the way and I’d like to thank them for that,” said Larry. “I would definitely recommend franchising to any veteran seeking a fulfilling life after service.”
As a way to give back and encourage veterans to become franchise business owners, Budget Blinds has launched the Million Dollar Franchise Event which grants an unprecedented $35,000 discount off the purchase of a Budget Blinds franchise. For more information please click here.
