Supporting Veterans Through Wounded Warriors Canada

ORANGE, CA—Budget Blinds, a custom window covering franchise and Home Franchise Concepts brand, has partnered with Ontario-based non-profit, Wounded Warriors Canada to donate funds to support ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their families. Wounded Warriors funds a diverse set of programs and services ranging from supporting homeless veterans, to PTSD Animal Assisted Therapy and transition programs focused on family-based support. Through this partnership, will donate $15,000 to Wounded Warriors Canada in 2015 to help make their life-changing programs possible. Thanks to their long-time manufacturing partner, Springs Window Fashions®, they are able to commit to this goal. The Budget Blinds corporate team will provide its Canada-based franchisees with the tools and support to raise awareness locally for the organization. During the month of May 2015, Budget Blinds will be promoting their Salute Our Troops Month Sale Event in support of Veterans. In this same spirit of giving, Budget Blinds will be offering customers 25% off selected Signature Series® window treatments.

“At Home Franchise Concepts we share a strong commitment to supporting Veterans who have served. Many of our founders have personal connections to the Armed Forces as do a number of our franchisees across the organization,” says Todd Jackson, Chief Operating Officer at Home Franchise Concepts. “It is our hope that the synergies between Budget Blinds and Wounded Warriors will continue to honor and support Veterans for years to come.”

“Wounded Warriors Canada is fortunate to have the support of businesses like Budget Blinds to help us in our mission to provide direct programming support for our ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and their families,” says Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada. “As a privately funded organization, partnerships make our programs possible and the generosity, care and compassion of Budget Blinds franchisees and consumers will have a direct impact on those we serve.”
