Feeding Pets of the Homeless
Looking to lend a helping hand? Budget Blinds of Charlottesville, Warrenton, Loudoun and South Riding, Virginia is working in partnership with Feeding Pets of the Homeless. Right now, you can drop off pet food donations at our showroom, and we’ll make sure they go to needy pets within our community.
Supporting Our Local Animal Welfare Group
We teamed up with The Jadie Bug & Tobster Foundation, Inc., a local 501(c)3 nonprofit, dedicated to helping keep companion animals in their homes with their human guardians. In order to help them achieve their goals and raise funds to help community pet owners as well as members of the U.S. Armed Forces we have provided in-kind donations for their auctions. We have supported and will sponsor their events and some of our employees have volunteered their time with this charity. In addition, we recently started a giving back program to donate $1 for each window treatment we sell to this organization.
Supporting Our Local Athletics Programs
Over the past several years we have supported a local high school's athletic program. We partnered with Kettle Run High School to help support the school's football, basketball, track teams as well as other athletic programs made available to our local students. Our contributions have helped supply new equipment and uniforms to the students at Kettle Run High School. We look forward to helping this program expand over the years! GO COUGARS!!!
Supporting Our Local Breast Cancer Support Group
We connected with The IIIB's Foundation to support their mission because it is something that hits very close to home for several of our employees, as well as women all across America and their families. The IIIB's Foundation's mission is to provide women with as much comfort as possible while recovering from breast cancer mastectomy surgery. We made IIIB's Foundation one of the charities that we donate $1 to for every window treatment sold. We hope all women suffering from breast cancer that have a mastectomy will receive one of the bosom buddy baskets!
Heart & Home
Heart&Home pursuits included awarding a franchise business worth over $100,000 to a veteran. We partnered with Working Wardrobes to provide job training, placement and wardrobe services to give those in need the chance to take their place in the workforce. Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), parent company of Budget Blinds, has organized food and clothing drives, been involved with Wounded Warriors Canada and Homes for Our Troops.
Homes for Our Troops
Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.
