1990s The Beginning

In 1992, five young entrepreneurs started a company called Budget Blinds®. Their dream was to bring homeowners high-quality custom window coverings for every style and budget, with the ultimate convenience of in-home shopping.

2000s Expansion

For the last twenty years, Budget Blinds has traveled the globe, carefully selected each of its vendors, and backed its products with the best warranty in the business. In 2002, we opened our 500th franchise and in 2005 opened our first seven franchises in Canada.

2010s Smart Home

For over 10 years, we've been a leader in smart home technology, delivering privacy/security, energy efficiency, safety, and convenience. Our exclusive Smart Home Collection, a full range of motorized window treatments from blinds and shades to shutters and draperies, lets you program and schedule your window treatment positioning using a remote, the Budget Blinds app, or even your favorite voice assistant.

2020s Customization

In the 2020s, we offer one-of-a-kind products to fully customize your home. From designing your own drapery, pillows, bedding & more to custom-color matching your shutters or blinds to your wall.
