How to Cozy Up Your Patio for Fall
This time on the Budget Blinds blog we’re going to look at something a smidge different. It’s not about covering up your windows or protecting your interiors from harsh UV rays. No, as the temperatures continue to dip and we’re able to enjoy the outdoors more and more, the smell is on the air… it’s fall. Let’s talk about how to upgrade your patio and make for an even cozier fall!
How to Cozy Up Your Patio for Fall
Place a Fire Pit
Okay, okay this might seem a bit silly given how excited we are for it too cool down why do we want to warm anything up! But think about how cozy a cool night outdoors with a fire pit roaring can be! Fire pits will give off some nice light and warmth to create a great ambiance for your outdoor hangouts. Make sure you follow proper fire safety!
Light the Way
The sun is already setting so much earlier so if you want to spend more time outdoors you’re going to need to set up some light! If you’re not interested in sticking just to a fire pit you can hang up some string lights to add lighting and warmth or use lanterns to shed light and decoration! Of course, remember to stick to proper fire safety!
Just Add Pumpkin!
That’s right just like Starbucks and every other food these months, adding some pumpkins is an fast, easy way to fall up the joint. If you’re in the Halloween mood carve em up and make jack-o-lanterns otherwise just having them around works too! And when you’re feeling like some pumpkin pie or bread you’ll have the ingredients on hand!
Cozy Cloth
Take some blankets and pillows outside and make for a comfy situation outside! Again, the goal is to sit out and enjoy the cool, so stay warm and comfy with cozy cloth.
Spice Up Your Planters
If your patio is already decorated with planters and pots you can autumn them up with some bare branches other autumnal looking foliage. This is especially helpful here in Scottsdale where we don’t necessarily experience fall like elsewhere.
Decorate with Warmer Colors
If you’re into totally redecorating your home take a look at your colors outdoors. Switch ou the lighter ‘summery’ colors for warm oranges, reds, and golds. Since we don’t really have many trees or foliage changing colors, it can be nice to do it ourselves.
And of course… Bring Out the Hot Drinks
It’s no longer iced tea, cold beer, white wine season, it’s time to switch over to warmer teas, coffees, hot toddies, mulled wine, hot ciders!
As the temperatures keep cooling we hope you’re enjoying your time outdoors during the few chilly months we get! October is right around the corner and fall will truly hit Scottsdale! If you want to add some exterior shutters to your Patio Fall Enjoyment Zone™ you know who to call!
