Reviews & Testimonials
Yesterday I had Eric Osmun of Budget Blinds measure my windows for cellular blinds and help me with color, etc. It was a great experience. He's the owner and operator of the business so he's offered to store my blinds in his garage (the blinds will be fabricated and ready in 2 weeks) until the moment I'm ready for them to be installed. The blinds are made by one of the foremost blind manufacturer's in the country so the quality is going to be good. And he has a broad range of prices. He left me with several of his business cards in case any of you are interested. He does all kinds of blinds, drapes etc. I know those of you on the second and third floors might not be thinking so much of your windows but for me it was essential that I get ahead of this issue. So when you're ready, I feel I can recommend Eric's Budget Blinds to you. He's pleasant, knowledgeable, and will personally come out to solve any post-installation problems. gailO

I replaced all my old wooden blinds with gorgeous honeycomb blinds. Eric was unfailingly patient and competent. One of the blinds developed a problem with a motor and Eric came, inspected, ordered a new blind, delivered and installed it for free!! Now that's service. When I phoned about the problem blind, Judy answered the phone from a convention in Las Vegas, made an appointment for me, and was amazingly helpful. You can't go wrong with these folks. The best.

When we first moved to our house in Scotts Valley, there were zero window treatments. We did our research and had 3 companies come and bid the job. Eric was very competitive and we did like that it was him that comes to bid the job and that it's him who installs it. It's just him and his wife, so there's no worries about anything getting lost in translation. They did about 3/4 of our windows in plantation shutters, which turned out gorgeous. We just had them come out to do another room with the same shutters this morning, which is a Saturday. Love that. The shutters arrived to them on Friday, they called me the same evening to set up install and offered me today. I was thrilled and it looks awesome. I really can't say anything negative about the company. They've returned all my calls within a reasonable amount of time and they've come through with all their promises. Eric also gives very realistic timelines, which is very important to me. I do not like when someone tells me that it will be here in 2 weeks and it ends up being 5. We really do appreciate that it's a local business, as well and not a huge chain. You can definitely feel at ease using this company. Plantation shutters are not inexpensive, so I would not trust just anyone to do them. I want them to last and I am confident in using Budget Blinds of Santa Cruz.
