Take A Look At This School Project Of Budget Blinds
At Budget Blinds of San Leandro, CA, and the surrounding area, we know how nice it is to see examples of someone’s work before hiring them. Therefore, we’re pleased to show you some of the details of a project we did for a school in Oakland. Along the way, we’ll also be using this project to demonstrate what we are able to do for you.
Special Window Needs
For this school in Oakland, the principal specifically requested window coverings that could provide security for the students and teachers, not just block out the light from the outdoor windows.
Additionally, whatever color the window coverings were needed to avoid clashing with the existing colors; it was also preferable to avoid anything too catchy in terms of color, as the students should be focusing on their lessons and not the windows.
Our solution was room darkening roller shades in neutral colors. Our roller shades have a sleek look which is easily overlooked in the background of rooms, and some of our shade materials are made PVC & Lead Free, Antimicrobial and Antifungal, Oeko-Tex 100 certified, and Greenguard Gold Certified.
Specific Time Frame
We started this project on the last day of February, and we completed it long before the end of April. This was quite the workout for us considering there were over 100 windows – 116 to be exact!
This means that, in less than two months, we were able to measure all those windows, order what we needed for them, remove the existing window coverings to dispose of them, and then install the new window coverings.
Part of the reason for this rush was Spring Break, as the school wanted to have all of this done before the students came back to their classes to avoid any disruptions. All but the measuring for the order to be compiled was done during Spring Break week, with the installation process taking three days of the mentioned week.
It was completed by the 8th of April, which is actually less than a month and a half after we got the job. Of all the many shades, not a single one had issues with fitting right or had any other problems when we got to the installation part.
The only slight hiccup to this huge project was the one small window in one door being overlooked during the ordering process. As soon as we realized we missed it, we ordered and then installed it as soon as we could, which was eleven days later on the 19th of April.
