2023 CASA Fundraiser

We are thrilled to have sponsored this year's CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) Gala fundraiser! It was an honor to support such an important cause that helps children in need in our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the event. Your support helps make a difference in the lives of children who need it most. We are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful event and to give back to our community.

Budget Blinds Of Omaha Central Supports CASA

Budget Blinds Of Omaha Central has supported CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) for the past 10 years. Since doing a solo benefit climb of Mt Kilimanjaro for the organization in 2010, John Mackenzie, owner of Budget Blinds of Omaha & Lincoln, organized a 5.8K Run to Benefit CASA (5.8K - the height of Kilimanjaro) to further raise awareness and money for CASA.

Volunteer Day!

The Budget Blinds of Omaha and Lincoln ownership group and the Director of Installations upgraded the aging and tattered blinds at Sacred Heart School Omaha in North Omaha. They provided 60+ brand-new beautiful roller shades.

Least of My Brethren

Budget Blinds of Omaha donated two heaping pickup truck loads of new blinds to Least of My Brethren which works to help the homeless in the Omaha Metro to get a meal, get an apartment, and find a job.

On the Field

Omaha Central Budget Blinds owner John MacKensie poses with the girls from the Budget Blinds softball team.  By helping sponsor local youth athletics, we are providing these young girls the chance to develop many positive skills that they will use throughout their lives.

At the Top

John became interested in the CASA program after hosting a dinner at his restaurant for them.  CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, trains people to help children in the foster care system.  On his 50th birthday, John climbed Mount Kilimanjaro.  He used this climb to raise awareness of the CASA cause as well as helping to raise over 4000 dollars.

Homes for Our Troops

Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.

You can help make a difference by making a donation to this valuable cause.
