We Care About You and Our Community
THE WELLBEING AND SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS IS TOP PRIORITY.
We’re taking all necessary precautions during this time for our customers and associates.
Nebraska CASA Association
Our owner John MacKenzie was recently elected to serve a 3 year term on the board of Nebraska CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children). John has supported CASA since he did a benefit climb of Mt Kilimanjaro for them 10 years ago. John and the entire team support the vital work CASA does in protecting our children from abuse and neglect. In fact a portion of every residential sale of our window treatments goes to NE CASA. To learn more about the work CASA does, and to investigate becoming a CASA volunteer go to https://www.nebraskacasa.org/
Heart & Home
Heart&Home pursuits included awarding a franchise business worth over $100,000 to a veteran. We partnered with Working Wardrobes to provide job training, placement and wardrobe services to give those in need the chance to take their place in the workforce. Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), parent company of Budget Blinds, has organized food and clothing drives, been involved with Wounded Warriors Canada and Homes for Our Troops.
Home for Our Troops
Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.
On the Field
Omaha Central Budget Blinds owner John MacKenzie poses with the girls from the Budget Blinds softball team. By helping sponsor local youth athletics, we are providing these young girls the chance to develop many positive skills that they will use throughout their lives.
At the Top
John became interested in the CASA program after hosting a dinner at his restaurant for them. CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, trains people to help children in the foster care system. On his 50th birthday, John climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. He used this climb to raise awareness of the CASA cause as well as helping to raise over 4000 dollars.
We don't just support our local neighborhood and community, we also support some of the best partners out there.
