Here are some of the benefits when selecting custom faux wood blinds.

  • Faux wood blinds are made from durable polymer materials with UVA inhibitors that prevent cracking, chipping, peeling and yellowing over time.
  • Available in both 2” and 2 ½” slat sizes to complement a variety of decorating tastes and styles, or for small and large windows with different light filtering needs.
  • Choose from a wide range of colors--from whites and neutrals, to rich wood grains, and a variety of smooth or textured finishes.
  • Venetian blinds have horizontal slats and can be made of faux woods and woods that are long lasting and easy to clean.
  • For the ultimate in convenient operation, these window blinds have both cordless faux wood options or Remote Tilt motorization, making them a safer choice for homes with children and pets.
  • If you choose faux wood blinds, there are plenty of family friendly benefits! Faux wood blinds are easy to clean. Even if the blinds do get dusty or marked with crayons, you can easily wipe the mess away.
  • Accentuate your faux wood window blinds in style by adding solid or decorative cloth tapes.

2-Inch Slat Size

The standard slat width for faux wood blinds, 2-inch slats offer a balance between privacy and visibility. When open, they allow for a good amount of light and visibility to the outside, while still providing sufficient coverage for privacy. This size is versatile and works well in most rooms, regardless of their size or style. It's a classic choice that mimics the traditional look of real wood blinds. In smaller rooms, or if you’d like more privacy, 2-inch slats might be more appropriate and less overwhelming.

2 ½-Inch Slat Size

This size offers a few different aesthetic and functional qualities. The wider slats provide a clearer view outside when open, as there are fewer slats and thus, less obstruction. This can make them a preferred choice for rooms where maximizing the view is a priority, like living rooms or sunrooms. The larger slat size tends to let in more light, making them a good choice for darker spaces. In terms of style, the wider slats have a more contemporary look and can make a bolder statement in your decor. In rooms with high ceilings or large windows, 2 ½-inch slats can be more proportional to the space.

High Quality Materials

Polymers are large molecules composed of repeated subunits, known as monomers. Used in making our faux wood blinds, these polymers are plastics that are chosen for their durability, flexibility, and ability to mimic the appearance of natural wood.

Durability is our Priority

UVA light, part of the ultraviolet spectrum from the sun, can cause significant damage to materials exposed to it over time. This includes fading, brittleness, and other forms of degradation. Nobody wants that! UVA inhibitors are special additives incorporated into the polymer material we use in our faux wood blinds to absorb and block UVA rays. This protects the blinds from the harmful effects of sunlight, thus prolonging their lifespan and maintaining their appearance.
