We Care About You and Our Community
Heart & Home
Heart&Home pursuits included awarding a franchise business worth over $100,000 to a veteran. We partnered with Working Wardrobes to provide job training, placement and wardrobe services to give those in need the chance to take their place in the workforce. Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), parent company of Budget Blinds, has organized food and clothing drives, been involved with Wounded Warriors Canada and Homes for Our Troops.
Operation Finally Home
U.S. Army Sgt. Timothy Michael Goodrich was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Goodrich and his family have used their experiences in the military as inspiration to start their own non-profit organization, General’s Kids. This organization strives to provide normalcy to the children of the wounded, ill and injured. While he still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mild cognitive dysfunction, chronic headaches and joint pain in his back and right hip, he continues to work towards a future he and his family can enjoy for many years to come. Operation Finally Home and local builder Miller & Smith and the community of Embrey Mill are proud to come together to provide Michael Goodrich and his family with a home in Stafford, Virginia in 2017.
Homes for Our Troops
Budget Blinds, in partnership with Springs Window Fashions, is proud to be the official window coverings supplier for Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives. Through this partnership we provide custom window coverings and measuring and installation services in every home HFOT builds.
