5 Things To Do At Home
Social distancing has us all cooped up at home with a major case of cabin fever 🏠. If you're a parent you may find yourself trying to juggle the demands of educating your children AND keeping them entertained (Shoutout to Disney PLUS 😂). But if you have young children like mine, you know very well they have a LOT of energy to burn.
But what's there to do while stuck indoors? With parks and playgrounds closed you have to get creative. Luckily there are dozens of great inexpensive ideas for at home family activities. While you're at it, you might make wonderful family memories! 👪
Here are my favourite 5! With a little imagination and effort, I'm sure you can make these work. 😉
1: Get your garden on!
Invest some energy outside by planting flowers and produce in the yard. Your little ones will adore getting muddled in the new soil.
2: Make a Birdfeeder:
Spring is here and the birds are letting us know it! What better spring craft is there than making a DIY bird feeder?
3: Freeze game (or Yoga!)
Play your kids favorite tunes and turn up the volume. Ask them to dance until the music stops. At that point, they have to freeze in whatever position they find themselves in. This makes great yoga.
4: Family reading
Daily reading can be extremely rewarding and fun. Scheduling a family read-aloud time is a wonderful way to bond with your children while also educating them.
5: Get Baking!
Kids love spending time with mom and dad in the kitchen. Click HERE for a list of easy baking recipes for you and the kids.
I know I said 5 activities but there is ONE MORE at home activity you can do! Work on your window treatments. That's right! While you're stuck at home, you can style your space.
