To start, what most people don't understand, is that this a franchise. The review I am providing is for Budget Blinds Chicago and North Shore. Stella and Andy are the owners. If you get anyone other than Stella on the phone- you are not posting the correct review and are referencing a different franchise location. I don't know how anyone would provide a less favorable rating than 5 stars. From the very first contact with Stella, to Andy's measurements and consultation regarding shutter molding and color options, to his installation, this has been one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. In addition, their pricing beat out 2 other quotes. Also interesting, is most of the blind places have the sales rep do the measurements, but the installer is someone different. With these folks, Andy does both which makes a big difference. The order came in right when they said it would arrive. A full day had been scheduled for the installation. Stella had always been very prompt in getting back to me and keeping me informed. I was very impressed with the packaging of the shutters and the preventative damage that was taken into consideration. Everything arrived in pristine condition. Andy took very special care while doing his installation to ensure every shutter was hung perfectly making minor adjustments along the way. He even calked around the molding and window frame to ensure a seamless natural look, which he did not have to do. He ran out to get calk just to do this for me. I am so very happy with the product, service and price. It was worth the wait. You will not be disappointed using these folks. They are just terrific!!

Extremely happy with my blinds and window treatments. Everything was great from the initial call, my free consultation, my installer, and most definitely my blinds. The prices were a third of Empire and half of Eddie Z's. I really don't understand the bad ratings, maybe these customers live in a different area of Chicago. I am from Calumet City and the people that I interacted with were very personable and even came out to install on a Sunday! The price was so great that I decided to do EVERY window in my home, even my bathrooms!. I will be recommending them to everyone, friends, family, and strangers alike. Great quality work and done FAST!

The folks I dealt with two years ago were Stella (who booked my appointment) and Andy- who I had the consultation with and he also did the installation. I could not be more happy with these two folks. I love my blinds! Remote control is the best! Stella was so professional to deal with and very accommodating with my schedule as I travel a lot. Andy was most helpful with my requests. I felt the wait time for custom blinds was totally acceptable. I can't remember the exact lead time but it was quite short. Andy was so polite and professional and really went beyond the call of duty with removing my original blinds.... I should have written this review two years ago when I had my blinds installed. I am writing now because I recently messed up my remote control (user error) and I called Stella and Andy, hoping they could be of assistance. Stella booked Andy to come by and help me out- 24 hours later! That is top notch service! He came by today and I am good to go! And no charge! This franchise of Budget Blinds is in Chicago and North Shore. If you get anyone other than Stella on the phone- you may be using the incorrect location for the best possible customer service. I find it hard to believe that some of these lower ratings come from the same folks that I used at Budget Blinds. I'm grateful for these folks who made me feel like such a valued customer!
