Partnering with Wounded Warriors Canada to Support Injured Armed Forces Members

Budget Blinds® boasts about 875 franchises in the United States and approximately 100 franchises in Canada, and is making history by partnering with Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC) to affect a world-changing difference in the lives of injured Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families.

Budget Blinds and its parent company, Home Franchise Concepts (HFC), have a solid history of supporting veterans, and joining with Wounded Warriors Canada is one more tangible way to say thank you to those who have served. “At Home Franchise Concepts we share a strong commitment to supporting veterans who have served. Many of our founders have personal connections to the Armed Forces as do a number of our franchisees across the organization,” says Todd Jackson, COO at HFC. “It is our hope that the synergies between Budget Blinds and Wounded Warriors will continue to honor and support veterans for years to come.”

Honour the Fallen, Help the Living

Wounded Warriors Canada is a non-profit organization that lives out their mission to Honour the Fallen, Help the Living by funding a diverse set of programs and services that physically, emotionally and spiritually assist and support ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members. Such programs include:

  • PTSD Elite Service Dog Program – Courageous (canine) Companions for PTSD sufferers
  • Can Praxis Equine Program – recharge, reclaim and renew through interaction with horses
  • Veterans Transition Program – helping the homeless integrate into society
  • WWC Couples PTSD Therapy – mitigating the traumatic effects on families through counseling
  • WWC Park of Reflection – a public memorial dedication to all uniformed service personnel
  • WWC Hand-Up Program – assistance in areas not covered in established programs/services

Budget Blinds has a goal of donating $15,000 to Wounded Warriors Canada in 2015 to help make their life-changing programs possible. Thanks to their long-time manufacturing partner, Springs Window Fashions®, who produce their exclusive line of Signature Series® window treatments, Budget Blinds is able to commit to this goal. Budget Blinds corporate will also provide its Canadian-based franchisees with the tools and support to raise awareness locally for the organization. During the month of May 2015, Budget Blinds will be promoting their Salute Our Troops Month Sale Event in support of Veterans. In this same spirit of giving, Budget Blinds will be offering customers 25% off selected Signature Series® window treatments.

Scott Maxwell, Executive Director of Wounded Warriors Canada greatly appreciates those who support WWC: “Wounded Warriors Canada is fortunate to have the support of businesses like Budget Blinds to help us in our mission. As a privately funded organization, such partnerships make our programs possible and the generosity, care and compassion of Budget Blinds franchisees and consumers will have a direct impact on those we serve.”
