Budget Blinds of the Southern Twin Cities

Drive through Lakeville, Rosemount or Shakopee and you'll pass street after street of new homes. The windows are big and the rooms are open. The trees in front are about the size of a broom handle, so they won't shade anything for a long time. In June the sun pours into bedrooms around 5:30 in the morning. Room-darkening shades help with that early wake-up call.

The older streets in Burnsville and Eagan have a different problem. Many homes still have the builder blinds they came with. The slats are bent and some won't tilt anymore. Which south metro towns do you serve?

We serve Burnsville and Savage along with Apple Valley and Eagan, plus Lakeville and Rosemount. To the west and south we go to Prior Lake and Shakopee, plus Eden Prairie and Chaska. Jordan and Elko New Market are part of our area as well.

What are the big window headaches in the south metro?

New builds in Lakeville, Rosemount and Shakopee have big windows and trees that give no shade yet. In Burnsville and Eagan it's worn-out builder blinds and family rooms that bake in summer. Around Prior Lake, light bounces off the water and we often suggest solar shades to cut the glare.

Can I visit a showroom in the south metro?

Our showroom is in Shakopee, and you're welcome to stop in and look around. Most people start with a free consultation at home, though. We bring samples to your Eagan or Apple Valley house so you can compare them against your own walls and furniture.

What happens at a free consultation in Lakeville?

Give us 1 to 2 hours and a designer will bring samples to your Lakeville build or Burnsville split-level. We measure every window, even the ones up high in the great room. You'll have your quote that same visit, and you won't pay a thing for it.

Can I see blind samples before I buy in Prior Lake?

Sure. Hold a solar shade sample to your Prior Lake window late in the day and watch what it does to the lake glare. We bring working samples you can lift and lower too, so you know how they'll feel to use every day.

When will my new shades be ready in the south metro?

Allow 4 to 6 weeks, since every shade gets cut to your exact window size. Your designer sets a timeline with you and we'll keep you updated as the order moves. If you're building in Lakeville or Rosemount, call us before closing so we can talk timing around move-in day.

Do you install the blinds and take my old ones away?

Yes, our own crew installs everything. We pull down those tired builder blinds from your Eagan or Burnsville home and haul them off with us. Every shade gets tested before we back out of your driveway.

What warranty do your blinds and shades have?
